February 8th Luncheon

Speaker:
Jenna Kool

Topic:
"Serving Selfless -The Prize is in the Process"

Jenna's platform as Miss Rodeo Iowa is... ‘It’s not about you, it’s about the job that God has put in front of you.’ God tells us to deny ourselves and take up the highest calling we could ever have – and that’s being a servant of the Lord. Get rid of the ‘one day’ and start serving in the right now. You’ll find your purpose becomes your passion.

Join us this Thursday for a message that is sure to encourage your heart.

Based on the foundational truths found in Acts 20:24,: "But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I recieved from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God." Also, 1 Corinthians 10:31, and 1 Corinthians 15:9-10

Jenna's verse as Miss Rodeo Iowa 2018: Ephesians 3:20 "Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according t o the power that works within us"

About the Speaker

As an Adel, IA native and recent Oklahoma State University graduate, Jenna Kool couldn’t think of a better way to spend 2018 than serving as Miss Rodeo Iowa. Her family has been involved in the agricultural industry for more than 200 years through beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine production and row-crops such as corn and soybeans and she believes rodeo is the agricultural sport. She began riding horses at 3 months old and as her parents would tell you, she never grew out of the horse stage. Growing up in the equine industry allowed her to receive a full-ride scholarship to Redlands Community College where she rode on the equestrian team, was a member of the horse judging team, selected as a top 10 student in the agricultural program and earned an Associate of Science degree in agriculture, with an animal science option. She then transferred to OSU where she was a member of several organizations and a part of the first and only horse judging team to finish their season as undefeated world champions. During her time, she was also selected to serve on an elite leadership team through the Animal Science Leadership Alliance and was one of 10 students to receive an Animal Science Senior Leadership Award for her involvement and leadership skills. She worked hard to graduate with Cum Laude honors and earned a Bachelor of Science in both Animal Science and Agricultural Communications. Throughout her college career, Jenna was also very active in the community, volunteering her time to church and therapeutic riding programs. She said she was there to help the kids, but they ended up helping her and taking a large part of her heart.

Upon finishing her reign as Miss Rodeo Iowa, Jenna plans to pursue a sales, marketing or communications position within the agricultural industry. She hopes to continue being a voice that is educating the public and bridging the gap between producers and consumers in the agricultural field.
